Our Faith

Holy Trinity Anglican Church stands with all Christians in the faith given by Christ and recorded in the Bible.  We believe in one God revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  We believe all people have sinned, but we also believe in forgiveness by grace through faith in Christ.  We believe in the return of Christ, and in the Holy Bible as the word of God and the authority in all matters of faith and practice. We believe in the grace and love of God, and in living in and sharing His grace and love in daily life.  We believe knowing God and living in His grace is the reason for all human existence, and in Him we find life’s highest meaning and joy. A fuller expression of our faith is eloquently stated in the Nicene Creed.  Well known and well beloved by Christians in all denominations for nearly two thousand years, it says:

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth;

 And in Jesus Christ, His only Son our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, Born of the Virgin Mary: Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried: He descended into hell.  The third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, And sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty:  From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy Catholic [universal] Church; the Communion of saints, The Forgiveness of sins; The Resurrection of the body; And the Life everlasting. Amen.

To learn more about our beliefs read a copy of the 1928 Book of Common Prayer. Or look at the works of Anglican ministers like J.C. Ryle. Also read some of the many hymns by the Anglican hymn writer Frances Ridley Havergal.
